Review of the Little Tikes Jump ‘n Slide Inflatable Bouncer

For my daughters second birthday party, we held a party in our backyard. The party was mostly just family and a few kids, so I did not want to hire an entertainer like I had done for her first birthday party, but I wanted to make sure we had enough fun activities for the few kids we had coming. After thinking about renting a bounce house, we purchased the Little Tikes bounce house and after many uses, I am sharing my thoughts on the Little Tikes Jump ‘n Slide Inflatable Bouncer.

I purchased the bounce house from Amazon, you can find the item here.

Why did I pick the Little Tikes Jump ‘n Slide Inflatable Bouncer

I started researching bounce houses as I planned my daughters birthday party in our backyard. This was our first party in our backyard and although we have a swing set, I wanted something else that the kids could play in. I considered renting a bounce house but was blown away by the prices- a rental for a day started at $400! I thought if I could buy a bounce house for less than $400 and be able to use it a few times, then it would be worth it. The price of the Little Tikes Jump ‘n Slide caught my attention- a brand name bounce house that cost less then renting a bounce house. (The Little Tikes one is as I write this in August 2023 is $309.99 on Amazon link here),

I did not want a huge bounce house or one with a ladder for kids to climb up up another level to a slide. I just did not like the idea of the ladder/slide, and saw too much potential for my daughter getting squashed by my son. I like the mesh sides of this bounce house and that the bouncing space of this bounce house is large. This one caught my eye in all my research because of the simple design, which I thought would be ideal for my children given they are young.

A key reason I bought this one after all of my research is that it came with the blower. I saw other bounce houses that appeared very reasonably priced, but I soon realized that not every bounce house came with a blower. Because the blower comes with this bounce house, I knew everything would work together, as it was designed to. I also liked that this was brand I knew and had a good reputation.

Set up of the Bounce House

This bounce house is so simple to set up. I cannot stress this enough- set up is a breeze. You unroll the bounce house, set up blower, plug in and put in the stakes. It full inflates in a few minutes. I think the entire set up takes five minutes.

I did not know (maybe you did), that the blower runs continuously when in use. The blower is not loud, but it does make a humming noise. You can still have a conversation when near the bounce house when the blower is on and the kids do not even notice.

Here is the bounce house in my backyard for my daughter’s birthday:

Storing Bounce House

Just as easily as it is to set up, it is easy to pack up. Unlike a lot of other items that come with a bag for storage, I am able to deflate the bounce house and actually get it into the storage bag. Although this bounce house is a heavy plastic, I am able to lift the storage bag with the bounce house inside and carry to my shed easily.

Negatives of this Bounce House

I love this bounce house and so do my kids. But to give a full review, I have to note the negatives:

1. Blower runs continuously. I did not realize that the blower would have to run continuously when in use. We have had running for long periods of time and did not find the noise too loud.

2. Maximum number of kids is 3. For us, this has not been a problem. Even with a few kids over, normally just a few play in the bounce house at a time. If you planned to have a huge party with potentially a lot of smaller kids, this may be a factor for you.

3. The blower stays attached when the kids are playing, so I get concerned that the kids could trip over the blower when running around. The blower is large so it is easily seen and my kids have not run into it yet.

Final Thoughts of the Little Tikes Jump ‘n Slide Inflatable Bouncer

The Little Tikes Jump ‘n Slide Inflatable Bouncer is a great product. After considering purchasing one for a long time, I am very happy with my decision to purchase this one.

I am impressed by the quality of this bounce house. My kids can and have played in it for hours, bouncing higher than I imagined. My little one loves sliding down the front and then running around the back to climb back in. The plastic feels heavy duty, making me believe that this bounce house will last us for several more summers.

I also like that the mesh sids are see through- so I can see my kids as they play. Too often when my kids are in a bounce house at a fair or festival, the sides are a dark color, making it difficult for me to see inside. My kids are small, so I like to really keep an eye on them when playing in a bounce house.

After my daughters party, I found out that a guest at the party ended up buying the same bounce house the day after the party. Their kids just loved the bounce house and they knew it would get a ton of use.
