I have always wanted to take something old and fix it up. But I can never seem to find the right item to purchase to try to “fix up.” Until I realized I had the perfect project on my front porch- this old plastic rocking chair. I liked to sit in it but the chair added nothing to the front my house. I had plans to purchase new furniture but thought I could try to make use of what I had.

And here is the after:

I am pleased with how the project turned out. The process to complete was simple, but took some time.
I took the chair and cleaned it down with soap and water, scrubbing with a sponge to make sure it was clean. I then slowly began to spray it with Rust-Oleum Hammered Spray paint in Black. With 2-3 layers, waiting in-between the layers for the paint to dry. I made sure to shake the spray paint can often and worked very slowly.
I can’t wait for my next spray paint project.
