For my daughter’s first birthday, I knew from the time she was born that I wanted to do a “Wild One” themed party. I had a ton of ideas for decorations and I knew I wanted to make a few decor pieces myself. I spent some time experimenting with my Cricut and made this adorable sign to fit the theme- Wild One. Check out the Wild One sign I made below!

I made this sign a few months ago, before I started this blog, so I did not document the process. I actually made this sign when I was stuck inside with COVID, when I had a lot of time at home. I painted the boards and then cut the vinyl with my Cricut. The long piece of word is from a hardware store, which I spray painted gold. I was able to use hot glue to fix the boards to the long piece of wood.
Using the Cricut is a lot of fun. I said it in a prior post that I was very overwhelmed by Design Space (the software for Cricut) at first, but now that I feel much more comfortable with it- I am having a lot of fun designing with the program.
The hardest part of this sign was picking the wording for each board- I had SO many ideas!
Here is a list of ideas for you to use for a Wild One sign:
- Wild Child
- Beware Binkies
- Child x Crossing
- Don’t feed the wild children
- Caution WILD child ahead
- Caution WILD ONE ahead
- Beware Tossed Pacies
- Look out for Wild Ones
- Wild One Crossing
Here are the phrases I used for my Wild One sign above:
- Wild Life Only
- Beware Falling Toys
- Caution
- Welcome Party Animals
Design Space also has a ton of animal themed images to cut out too!
This sign is now a decor piece in my daughters room!
